Super Bowl LII is just one of two major events the city of Minneapolis is hosting this week. Back for its 6th edition, the Annual OTG ChiliFest took place this week at the Food Hall located at the Delta MSP Experience.
At ChiliFest concept chefs go head to head in a battle for the best homemade chili. In this event, seven contestants battled it out in the field, where passing travelers were lucky to taste seven different types of homemade chili.
Traditionally, the ChiliFest is accompanied by a beer sampling of local brews. This year, a custom OTG Pale Ale was among the samples. The brew, named 52 Below in honor of Super Bowl LII, was created before the event by our Crewmembers in a team building exercise at Minnesota’s own Excelsior Brewing Company.
After much deliberation, “Don’t Fear the Reaper” Pork Chili by Team OTG Operations won the championship. The ingredients include pork belly and shoulder, Carolina Reaper peppers, green chiles, cheddar, cotija cream and Fritos chips. Congrats to the winners!
