Position Summary:
The OTG Culinary Intern supports the development of comprehensive menu plans for OTGs unique concepts. Considering factors like customer trends, market analysis, profitability, and brand identity, often collaborating with cross functional teams such as Creative, Operations, and Culinary Teams to ensure the menu aligns with overall business objectives. This program allows students to have an immersive, hands-on learning experience within a multi-unit restaurant group with diverse concepts. This position is hybrid, based in our NYC home office.
Responsibilities:
Organize/write/upload recipes on SharePoint
Participate in the review and analysis of current menus/recipes to identify opportunities for improvement
Participate in the pricing process, including reviewing COGS
Learn about and participate in creating projects for OTGs menu development process
Coordinate and communicate menu projects to the cross functional departments
Take notes and share recaps on meetings
Uphold the organization's values, philosophy, ethic, integrity, and code of conduct.
Qualification's:
Enrollment in a culinary school/program or hospitality/marketing preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with staff in different functions and skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work in fast-paced environment both independently and within a team
Must be able to perform with urgency with priority matters, with hands on approach to operational needs
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
Pay rate: $20 per hour
